Changing your control panel password

1. Click on the Change Password ICON within your control panel.

2. You'll be presented with this information:

To change the password for user YOUR USERNAME, you must do the following:
1) Enter your old password:
1) Enter your new password ( It must be between 6 and 8 characters .):
2) Enter the new password again (for confirmation):
To change your password click: SUBMIT

IF YOU ARE USING FRONTPAGE!

For those that use Front Page to design their site - you must ALSO go into your Front Page program, bring up your web site (using your old password) by going to File, Open Web and then typing in your web site as: http://www.mywebsitename.com and when your site comes up - click on Tools, Security and change your password from there. Front Page will not automatically change your password when you change it in the control panel! If doing it this way doesn't work for you :), you can go into your control panel and click on the Front Page ICON and uninstall and then reinstall your extensions. Make sure you have a back-up of your web site before doing this! You will probably lose your shared borders when you uninstall your extensions :(
