Web Page Builder

There is a web page builder in your control panel. If you would like to use it - it is a very simple, easy way to build a web page for your domain. If you would like to try the Netscape Composer - it is very easy to use.

Here is some good information though if you would like to use the Web Site Tool in your control panel:

Directions for using Web Site Builder

1. Log into your control panel at: http://yourIPaddress/menu or http://www.yourdomainname.com/menu
2. Click on the Web Site Builder ICON
3. This gets you into the actual admin area where you can use the tool.

General Settings
1. Web Page Style
Choose the style you want from the list on the right and click save.

2. Company Information
Type in your business name, slogan and email address on the right side and click save.

3. Web Site Pages
On the right side - 
Choose how many pages you want: 
Your website can have between one and six pages. Just turn each page on or off by activating the checkbox next to it. (Only pages with their check boxed turned ON will be part of your website)
Please note: The index-page, 'Welcome', is required and therefore ALWAYS ON. 
For each activated page, you can customize its title. 
This is also the name that is shown on the navigation-bar buttons. To do so, just edit the existing title next to the checkbox. When you are done, click SAVE to register your changes. 

Page Contents
1. Click on Main or any of the pages 1 through 5.
Choices are on the right - you can justify, select title, background & content color and also browse your hard drive and upload a graphic. Using the browse/upload feature will place the graphic in the top left corner of the page.

Publish Site
1. When you are finished - click on finish on the left side under publish site.

This will take you to a page that gives you this information:

Congratulations, your website is online and fully functional! 
The website URL is: 

http://yourdomain.com/foldername/ 
or: 
http://YourIPaddress/foldername/ 
Remember that you can always return to edit it in the future, deleting text or adding new information, or just making changes.

The URL for the backend editing interface is 

http://YourIPAddress/cp/siteBuilder.cgi

OPTIONAL: Make your SiteBuilder site your main website. Click the button below if you want your current index.html to be updated with your new SiteBuilder site. Doing this, the URL for your SiteBuilder site will become - 


http://YourIPAddress/foldername
Warning! If you do this, your existing/previous index.html will be OVERWRITTEN. This is a permanent action, with no undo feature.

What the warning means - is that if you click on that button that says Make Main Website - then any index.html page that was previously there as your home page will be instantly overwritten. So, be very careful! this that feature :). 

To guard against overwriting an index.html page accidently:
1. Go into your control panel at: http://www.yourdomain.com/menu or http://YourIPAddress/menu and type in your username & password. Go into file manager, www folder (if there are two www folders - use either one - they are mirror images of each other and that will be just fine) and then if you have an index.html page there - rename it first to something else, so that you will have a copy of it before you click on that button that says 'Make Main Website'.

1. The Page 5 - has form information already there that can't be changed.
