To Publish with Netscape Composer

Once you have a page in Netscape's composer, you can upload it, and all relevant pages to your server with the "Publish" function.

What to do - When in Netscape Composer, follow these instructions to publish to your main site:

1. Click: Publish (Located in one of the top bars of Composer).

2. Page Title: You can put here what you want the title of your page to be.

3. HTML File name: Put the file name for your page here. If it's going to be your home page - put index.html here.

4. HTTP or FTP Location to publish to -

 ftp://www.yourdomain.com/www/

or ftp://YourIpAddress/www/

5. User name: Your USERNAME.(that came in your welcome letter)
Password: YOUR PASSWORD.(that came in your welcome letter)

6. Other files to include - Select which files you would like to upload along with the page. If you are not sure which files are used for the page, select: "Files associated with this page".

7. Click: OK.

Your site has now been uploaded.

To see your new page that you've just published - go into your browser, either Internet Explorer or Netscape browser and type in http://www.yourdomainname.com/filename.html or http://YourIPaddress/filename.html and click refresh to see the new page with any changes. (type in your actual domain name or your IP address and the file name that you used for this page where it had asked for HTML filename).

If you wish to place the file in a sub-directory you must first create that directory with the file manager. Then the location would be ftp://yourdomain.com/www/subdirectory.
